As a Financial & Business Controller, you will play a key role in this new phase. As we open our new location, you will be responsible for providing financial control, insight and direction. You will work closely with the business, think ahead and translate figures into insights and clear advice that truly makes a difference.

In this role, you are more than just a guardian of numbers. You are responsible for compliance to the Dutch accounting rules, implementation of financial policies and its execution. You will also act as a strategic partner for the Managing Director, the local Management Team and the Regional CFO, contributing to the achievement of our ambitious objectives. You will monitor budgets, support projects and management in their insights and decision making.

The organization is characterized as a compact matrix organization. You will work close with the local and central finance team. Together you will continue building a solid, structured and highly automated administrative organization. A very interesting and broad role for an ambitious finance professional!

• Set up and secure financial project control.
• Managing our financial administration and preparing (monthly and annual) reports in accordance with internal and external guidelines.
• Preparing and monitoring budgets and forecasts (financial, sales, cash flow).
• Developing investment proposals.
• Supporting the local entity’s P&L responsibility.
• Identifying and advising management on financial risks and opportunities.
• Ensuring compliance with local laws and regulations.
• Coordinating audits and internal controls, acting as the point of contact for accountants and advisors, among others.
• Oversee and manage invoicing and DSO – Optimizing (financial) processes and systems.

You are an experienced Financial & Business Controller who feels comfortable in a dynamic environment where not everything is set in stone. Change is not a challenge for you but an opportunity. You effortlessly switch between strategic thinking and hands-on execution. With your experience, you bring structure and financial knowledge, and you make sure that you don’t lose sight of the organization’s entrepreneurial character.

• HBO/WO degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Economics (incl bookkeeping).
• 5-10 years of experience in a similar position in a for-profit project organization.
• Strong analytical skills and an eye for detail.
• Experience within international organizations.
• Excellent communication skills in Dutch and English.
• Proactive, results-oriented, and a hands-on mentality.
